Coopers Cookin and Catering specializes in Southern Soulful recipes passed down from our matriarchs in our family. Each dish is made with as much love as we have for family.
Our fried chicken recipe was passed down from our #1 matriarch, my mom, Mildred Cooper. We have won many competitions with the recipe over the years.
All our food is made in-house from scratch. From our comforting sides to our homemade pies, cakes and cheesecakes. All are made with a perfect hint of flavors and a dash of love that takes you on a trip down memory lane.

Welcome to our Story!!

Cooper’s almost 200-year-old signature recipe, now closely guarded by owner Denise Thompson, originated with her women forebears in nearby Gordonsville.
I’m not at liberty to discuss her recipe, for real, but my mom and the heritage we have in our family is the main reason we opened this restaurant—to cater to that recipe they passed down to us that we hold sacred.”
